The Friends of Weston’s Council on Aging is a 509(a)(3) public charitable organization under IRS code 501(c)(3), that financially supports the programs and services offered by the Council on Aging for the Town of Weston, Massachusetts, which are not covered by the Town budget. Furthermore, we provide individual, qualified Weston residents aged 60+ with emergency financial assistance.

Programs and services provided by the Council on Aging include: transportation assistance via a lift-assist shuttle bus and SUV and a subsidized taxi voucher program; a durable medical equipment loan closet; a food pantry; social services by two licensed social workers; delivery of Meals on Wheels; a volunteer program and an array of social, wellness & fitness, art & intellectual programs.

The Wisdom of Weston

To create awareness of the COA and help connect the older generation with the younger population in Weston, we will be weaving the theme of “The Wisdom of Weston” throughout our fundraisers.

Students from Weston High and Middle Schools will interview and photograph our COA members to memorialize in a “Wisdom of Weston” coffee table book that will be for sale. We also plan to videotape the interviews to highlight during our event honoring one member who has meaningfully impacted our community on November 8th.
